| Cambria Collection |
|
|
In several locations in SeaCliff, Urban West built semi-custom homes known as
the Cambria Collection. Close to the beach, some of these homes enjoy panoramic views of the SeaCliff Country Club.
Floor plans range from over 2,400 square feet to
3,500 square feet. Featuring masonry, stucco or wood siding, there are
six floor plans and seventeen different elevations. Most of the three, four and
five bedroom plans include an entry foyer, sweeping staircases, living rooms with fireplaces, formal dining rooms, gourmet kitchens, large secondary bedrooms (many plans have a
main floor bedroom), spacious master suites with retreats, fireplaces, and
view decks, luxurious master baths, some with whirlpool tubs, dual sinks and
large walk-in closets. |
|
Downtown |
|
|
Downtown residents enjoy an eclectic mix of one, two and three story single-family
homes and townhomes, ranging from 800 square feet to over
3,000 square feet. It is not uncommon to find a custom, three-level "tall
kkinny" home next to a 1930's Craftsman cottage next to a 1950's style
bungalow on the "numbered" streets or
on the "city & state" streets east and west of Main Street.
Homebuilders are continuously buying older homes on double-wide lots
(approximately 50x100 feet) and leveling them to construct three-story, Mediterranean
influenced homes on lots approximately 25x100 feet. Many of the
homes enjoy panoramic ocean views, and the newest Downtown
developments include a mix of commercial, retail and residential
uses. |
|
Edwards Hill |
|
|
The community known as Edwards Hill offers a country ambiance adjacent to the
Huntington Beach Equestrian Center. Horses and their riders are a common sight on the
winding trails woven through this
community. In 1987, several independent
homebuilders began building semi-custom homes while individuals purchased large 1 and
2 acre parcels of land and stately mansions were built. English Manor, French Tudor,
Mediterranean, Craftsman, and Traditional are a few of the architectural
styles popular in the area. Cul-de-sacs without
sidewalks help to maintain the feeling of being in the country. |
| In 1996, Urban West developed enclaves of semi-custom homes
on large lots (>9,000 sf) known as The Hamptons, The Ascot
Series features four-car garages and some lots
exceed 15,000 square feet. This mostly Mediterranean and Traditional
architectural style community offers floor plans with four and five bedrooms
with 3,200 to over 4,000 square feet. This is one of the Seacliff
neighborhoods that offer single-story homes. The latest addition to Edwards Hill is Triple Crown, semi-custom estate homes
developed by Heritage Communities. 24 homes in this neighborhood
feature Mediterranean and Traditional architecture, and floor plans
offer magnificent kitchens and expansive master suites with
optional retreats and opulent master baths. |
|
Huntington Harbour |
|
|
Just north of the Bolsa Chica Wetlands adjacent to Pacific Coast Highway is Huntington Harbour
where nearly 900 acres of tidal marshland was developed by
Christiana Corporation. Five
islands were created, "Admiralty", "Gilbert",
"Davenport", "Humboldt" and "Trinidad"
and the first homes were offered for sale in 1962. To
satisfy passions for boating, swimming, and
relaxing, more than half of the residences on the mainland and the islands
of Huntington Harbour are water or bay front and more than 250 acres are devoted
to recreational marinas, waterways and lagoons. |
| Harbour residents enjoy a tasteful mix of custom and semi-custom, single and
two story single-family residences and town homes. Most homeowners enjoy docks
immediately adjacent to their homes or their boats are docked at a common marina
space adjacent to their neighborhood. Most of the Huntington Harbour
neighborhoods are not gated and have bridges bearing street names denoting the
island onto which you are crossing. You will find gated
neighborhoods in the Harbour bearing the names of Portofino, Faire
Marin, Tennis Estates, Seabridge, Broadmoor and Coral
Cay. Now over 40 years old, Harbour residents are
updating the streetscapes implementing classical architectural styling modeled
after Traditional, French Tudor and Chateau, Mediterranean, Tuscan,
Contemporary, Monterey Mission and Cape Cod. Whatever the style,
each waterfront home has been built to capture the water views. Ranging in size
from just over 1,100 square feet to over 6,000 square feet, most homes enjoy
open floor
plans with formal living and dining rooms, vaulted ceilings, gourmet
kitchens adjacent to family rooms, large secondary bedrooms and spacious master suites with walk-in
closets and master baths with dual sinks and separate spa tubs and showers.
Depending upon the plan, most homes have view balconies. A majority of
waterfront homes are located on cul-de-sacs. |
| Ocean Colony |
|
|
Surrounded by the Regional County Park and the Bolsa Chica
Ecological Reserve just north of Pacific Coast Highway off Seapoint, Ocean Colony
is a gate-guarded enclave of 53 homes developed by Urban West in 2000. Just steps to the Pacific Ocean, three
Italian Renaissance floor plans bear the names of
Villa Ravelo, Villa Savona and Villa Torcello. Featuring Tuscan architecture, many
of the homes enjoy panoramic Catalina and Ocean views. This neighborhood
offers residents the closest
proximity to approximately nine miles of uninterrupted coastline. |
The three floor plans offer four bedrooms, with
additional home offices and dens or retreats. They range from over 3,200 square
feet to over 3,700 square feet, with all homes offering three-car garages. The dominant theme is luxury from the imported Italian
stone on some entry foyers to the spacious gourmet kitchens with Viking
appliances. Villa Ravelo offers a master suite that spans the entire back of
the home with view decks and gracefully curved window walls. Villa Savona offers a master suite that has room for a private library. Villa Torcello is reversed taking its cue from the heron's nest and
the main living area is elevated for a better view of the Pacific Ocean.

master planned community adjacent to SeaCliff Country Club. Located

neighborhood is undergoing a renaissance of remodeling and expansion.
Many of the homes enjoy cul-de-sac locations and golf course
views. There are more than four different floor plans, offering
amenities such as formal living rooms with fireplaces, formal dining
rooms with courtyard views, and family rooms with fireplaces
